Use Um from your AI app
Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI apps can check an address, sign you up, and look after your Um account for you.
Add Um to your app
Add this address to your AI app as an MCP server or connector:

Your app sends you to an Um page. Pop in your email, enter the code we send, and pick Allow. The page shows what the app is asking to do before you allow it.
What it can do
- List plans and check fibre at an address, without signing in.
- Sign you up. You agree to the terms yourself, and we text you a code.
- See your account: balance, days left, plan, invoices, and booking calendar.
- Make a top-up link for you to pay.
- Change your plan or billing, once you've said yes.
- Ask to turn your connection off. We email you to confirm.
What it can't do
- Take a payment. You pay on our page or by bank transfer.
- Change your email, mobile, or how you sign in.
- Delete your account.
Disconnect an app
Sign in to your account and pick Disconnect under Connected AI apps. Your internet stays on.
Shopping agents
Um publishes a UCP profile at https://um.nz/.well-known/ucp. An agent can start a signup there, and the buyer finishes on um.nz.
